Friday, September 18, 2020, 4:00-5:30pm - This will be an introduction to the writing group and guidelines. The group will brainstorm and choose one fairy tale for everyone to rewrite. We will discuss the aspects of storytelling we want to focus on in the future sessions. We will brainstorm ways to create different characters and conflicts in the stories.

Friday, October 16, 2020, 4:00-5:30pm - There will be discussion and activities related around creating their rewritten fairy tale.

Friday, November 20, 2020, 4:00-5:30pm - There will be additional discussion and activities related around creating their rewritten fairy tale. We recommend teens have an outline or first draft of their story and can work on different aspects of their story in this session.

Friday, December 4, 2020 - STORIES DUE - All Short Stories are due to the Librarian for review for the Writing Group. If approved, stories will be shared with other members of the writing group.

Friday, December 18, 2020, 4:00-5:30pm - Teen authors will meet for the last time to talk about how they re-wrote their fairy tales so they can learn from each other from this process.
