In this talk we (audience participation is highly encouraged) will attempt to define "Artificial Intelligence", take a look back in time at what has passed for "Artificial Intelligence" in the past, look at what is currently being deemed "Artificial Intelligence", and talk philosophically about our ability to create an "Intelligent" being.
Speaker Craig Reinhart earned his Ph.D. in Computer Engineering from the University of Southern California in 1991. He has done research in Computer Vision, Robotics, and Digital Camera Technologies in both academic and commercial industry settings. He is the author/coauthor of seven United States patents and various published papers. Craig currently holds the title Associate Professor of Computer Science at California Lutheran University.
