Author Event and Book Signing with Lucky Diaz In-Person
Join Lucky Diaz—GRAMMY Award-winning, multi–Latin GRAMMY Award-winning, and six-time EMMY-nominated musician, songwriter, and author—for a joyful, music-filled afternoon at the Grant R. Brimhall Library! Celebrated for his vibrant, bilingual storytelling, Lucky’s work has been praised by NPR, Billboard, and The New York Times.
His debut picture book, Paletero Man, became an instant classic, earning starred reviews and the 2024 Alma Flor Ada Award. His follow-up titles, La Guitarrista and the forthcoming Fix-It Familia, continue his mission to uplift Latiné stories with heart, humor, and community. Lucky also made history in children’s music, winning a 2024 GRAMMY for his album Brillo, Brillo! and redefining family entertainment through his Emmy-nominated television work.
Recommended for preschool - 3rd grade children and families with a books signing to follow. Presented by the Friends of the Thousand Oaks Library
