After-Hours Concert: Guzheng with Bei Bei In-Person

Experience the enchanting music of the guzheng, performed by an internationally acclaimed and award-winning artist, Beibei Monter. The Guzheng (pronounced goo-jung) is a 21-string traditional Chinese zither with a history of over 2,500 years. Joined by guitarist Jon Monter, the duo will present an evening of contemporary fusion works. 

Bei Bei (Bei Bei Monter, 荷蓓蓓)is an internationally acclaimed and award-winning guzheng performer, composer, recording artist and guqin artist. As one of the world’s premier guzheng musicians, she has played a key role in bringing this ancient Chinese instrument to a global audience. Since her 2006 debut, she has been featured on several Disney movie soundtracks, performed with Christina Aguilera, appeared as a soloist with the Pacific Symphony, and released several critically acclaimed original music albums. Her virtuosity and unique fusion of Chinese and Western music continue to resonate with a growing fanbase.

Seating will be open and available on a first come first serve basis. This is a FREE event being held at the Grant R. Brimhall Library.
